755 Alliance August 2022 Community Project

“Pantry on the Go”

Provide healthy snacks and non-food essential items to Edgewood Area families experiencing transportation needs and unable to access existing fixed food pantry locations. Packages are distributed through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club on the Go.

        755 Alliance Emergency Fund Established November 2022

          

        Families experiencing food, housing, and transportation insecurities continue to be a great need in the Edgewood community. The fund provides financial assistance to individuals/families who are facing unexpected emergencies, as referred by local agencies. Funds are made possible through private donations.

        Collect Books to Stock “Little Free Libraries”

          Brookside Drive Basketball Court reconstruction

          Additional Information

            Our ALL VOLUNTEER BOARD raise funds to support our initiatives. Our primary focus is to provide resources for families to mitigate food and housing insecurity.


          Just this Year:

          •Provided financial relief to halt 4 evictions (HCAA & Social Service referrals for families with school aged children)


          •Provided financial relief for 72 students at Joppatowne High with outstanding lunch debt


          •Partnered our Pantry To Go with the Boys & Girls Club On The Go (program outreach to distribute healthy snacks and essential toiletries for children/adults residing in underserved communities and lack transportation)


          •Continue to stock pantries located at the Edgewood Boys & Girls (non-perishable and essential toiletry items)


          •Partnered with HC Government to organize 3 community clean-up/bulk trash disposal events to mitigate illegal dumping


          •Collected books to stock “Little Free Libraries”
